So today I finally gave in to temptation and pre-ordered one of the deals for the new Gangs of Rome game which is launching in January.
Over the Christmas break I found a little time to paint up a four person hazmat team from Harwood Hobbies in Canada.
A pretty quiet week on the hobby front due to general Christmas palaver but I did find time to put together about half of the 4Ground MDF scenery sets from my Legends of the Fabled Land Kickstarter, including this ruined building kit.
Today I got to play a small ‘refresher’ game of Muskets & Tomahawks – I’d almost forgotten how much fun this game is and how it gives a real flavour of the French Indian Wars. My small force of French regulars were trying to force an engagement with some British regulars and their Indian allies who were hell bent on slaughtering a group of civilians.
Initial deployments of regulars and civilians (unpainted as I hadn’t expected to need them). Canadian militia and British Indian allies are deployed hidden and represented by markers.
Today was the final game of our Frostgrave campaign which was a lot of fun and I managed to narrowly win through a massive fluke of killing a marauding giant with a single swing of my wizard’s staff and then basically legging it with some treasure before Dan’s more aggressive warband could catch me.
